Neurofeedback

The neurofeedback program uses EEG (electroencephalogram) devices to assess the brain waves. The raw data is then compared to same age healthy individuals. This creates a graphic brain map showing which brain waves are too strong or too weak, and in what locations on the brain.

This assessment tool helps create specific protocols for each person’s unique needs. The EEG devices then are used to give visual and auditory feedback to the brain, so that it balances itself. This is a very safe scientific method of assessment and training for the brain, because neurofeedback does not alter the brain. The change happens as the brain learns to balance itself, in a similar way to learning a new skill such as playing a new video game.

Neurofeedback assessment and training is suitable for individuals of any age however, as young children may not be able to stay still long enough, we prefer to work with children of ages 5 and over. Although it can help with various brain-related problems, the speed and depth of improvements (or lack of) depends on every person’s unique challenges and resources.

Neurofeedback has been proven to help with anxiety, depression, ADHD, ADD, autism, learning disabilities, migraines, headaches, sleep issues, academic performance, social skills, relationships, anger, aggression, addictions, personality disorders, trauma, head injuries, concussions, seizures. etc. Individuals with mental health issues who are taking a lot of medications may be able to improve their condition to the point of their doctor reducing the dosage or the number of drugs they take.

NOTE: This can only be done by qualified doctors, we never encourage anyone to change their medication by themselves.
